As scientists (and citizens) living in a democratic society, we are shocked by the Russian aggression against Ukraine. This is an unprovoked attack against a democratic country, and our feelings and full support are with the Ukrainian people. We are deeply impressed by the courageous people in Russia that raise their voice against their totalitarian regime – like several hundred scientists. The EU in general has to stand up STRONGLY against this Russian assault – violence must not succeed. #standwithUkrainen

InvasiBES: Understanding and managing the Impacts of INVASIve alien species on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services

This BIODIVERSA funded project will use data and models across habitats (terrestrial, freshwater and marine) and scales (continental and local). InvasiBES aims to better understand and anticipate the multi-faceted impacts of invasive alien species on biodiversity and ecosystem services and to provide tools for their management.
